We are the Data. Centre. Triangle. Club
A group of data centre and security professionals walk into a bar… No, not the start of a corny joke, but the beginning of something significant.
After a successful and full-on data centre show in Frankfurt, Tim Northwood and Keri Feeney from Inner Range, and Glenn Stephenson, Alan Kavanagh and Paul Slocombe from Datalec Precision Installations, (now our founding members), started chatting about the data centre space, about the show, about life in general.
We noticed a lack of conversation in our industry about mental health despite many of us being touched by it in some way or another. So, we thought, wouldn’t it be great if there was somewhere we could go to talk to each other without fear of censure or embarrassment? Somewhere we could check in on each other? Wouldn’t it be great if there was somewhere we could support worthy mental health charities?
And the Data. Centre. Triangle. Club. was created.
Our mission: To start conversations, to check in with each other, to provide a safe space to chat, and ultimately normalise talking about mental health in the security industry.
BE KIND
To yourself. To others. You never know what someone is going through. A little bit of empathy and kindness go a long way.
CHECK IN
Text. Talk. Email. Doesn’t matter. Start a conversation and never underestimate the power of a well-timed ‘hello’.
ACCEPT
It’s okay to not be okay. Don’t hide your feelings. Reach out to someone you trust.
